What our Worship as all about!

Here at Poplar Springs we worship God in so many different ways. Here is a few key components to our worship services.

The Church of Corinth gave us great examples of devotional acts in their worship services from which we now follow:

The word of God is spoken and taught (Acts 20:7), an offering is collected and given to support the Lords work. (1 Corinthians 16:1-2), times of prayer and reflection are offered up (1 Corinthians 14:15-16), songs of praise are sung to the glory of God (Ephesians 5:19), and communion is observed and taken (Acts 20:7).

Christ commanded us to worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). We do all these things as an act of worship to God the Father.

Exodus 15:2 The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my victory. He is my God, and I will praise him; he is my father’s God, and I will exalt him! (NLT)

Psalms 68:4 Sing praises to God and to his name! Sing loud the praises to him who rides the clouds. His name is the LORD—rejoice in his presence! (NLT)

We offer two different styles of worship at Poplar Springs!

Our blended worship meets at 9am in the Worship Center sanctuary. This service is more traditional, singing a blend of praise choruses and hymns with piano and keyboard.

Our contemporary worship meets at 10:30am in the Family Life Center gym. This service sings newer songs that you will hear on K-Love radio with a full band.
