Life Groups

What are Life Groups? Life groups are for adults looking for community and spiritual growth. Life Groups are ongoing and remain together long-term.

What type of groups do you offer? We offer men's, women's, married and adult groups. 

When do groups meet? Life Groups meet throughout the week to fit different schedules. Most meet on Wednesday's at 6:30-8:00pm.

Do you have childcare ?  Childcare is available on Wednesday evenings during our fall and spring sessions at the church.

Where do group meets? Groups meet in homes and the church. We are always seeking more host homes and leaders.

Do groups have a limited capacity? Yes, because of space and to cultivate a discussion environment, groups have a limited capacity. This could create a wait time until we find space and leaders.

How do I find a group? When you register for "Rooted", a Life Group Coordinator will react out with options available by the end of August. You will also hear from your group leader by the first week in September.

I see Life Groups have a fall session and a spring session around 10-12 weeks each, what happens in the winter and summer? The fall and spring sessions are designed around childcare for groups meeting at the church on Wednesday evenings. We encourage groups to meet in the winter and summer on their own schedule to stay connected. If your group doesn't meet at the church, you meet year round and on your own schedule.

What is this churchwide "Rooted" experience? "Rooted" is a 10 week journey that helps us practice seven key rhythms of following Jesus together. 

" Be with Jesus, become more like Jesus and do what HE does"

What does "Rooted" cost? The cost of registration for "Rooted" is $30 per person. This includes a study book and refreshment cost for three gatherings. Each person needs to register.  You will receive your book at the Kick-off, September 9th from your Life Group Leader.   Note: Poplar Springs does not want finances to be a barrier to participation. Why is the sign- up deadline, August 9th so early when the kick-off is September 9th? August 9th is the last date we can ensure book delivery for this churchwide study therefore it is the deadline for signups.

What are the gatherings? There are three gatherings. Two will take place on Wednesday evenings starting all together in the sanctuary then later divide into groups. We are asking all groups no matter when they usually meet to try to come to these two Wednesday evenings. These two are the Kick-off and Generosity gatherings. The last gathering will be a celebration during our Sunday morning service, November 22nd.
